Sense of guilt over sense of blame

I was browsing through the infamous youtube.com and happened to search for clips that are good for the soul. I remembered throughout my life, we Muslims tend to blame others for anything that screwed up all over the world, from personal matters to international conflicts. It's no surprise that even I, myself have that tendency to blame others when something screws up but not myself. Maybe due to the surrounding that I was brought up? God knows best...

Here's a video to ponder around...It would be worthwhile to take a look...

Quick question: What is the muslim community like in Japan? Is it very small, and how many of the muslim population there is actually Japanese, and not just non-Japanese peoples?

Salams...
In reply to your question :

Muslim community in Japan is very very very very small... err about 200,000 plus minus. And out of that, maybe you'd get a few thousands of Japanese Muslims while the bigger part of the pie goes to foreign students, foreign workers, migrants etc. I visit Kobe Mosque (which is about 15 miles away) almost everyday during ramadhan but I managed to see one Japanese Muslim among the men (usually none)... As for the women, maybe there are less than 10...

shukran for the info...that is interesting, it would be intriuging to know how those small collection of Japanese muslims found their way to the deen, was it through direct dawah or just from the influence of the actions of other muslims that intrigued them. Just curious to understand how Islam may have the opportunity to spread in a place like Japan.

naa it's nothing...

But well after 4 years being here, getting to know Japan on the religious and moral aspects it is pretty sad to say that it is just as bad as Jahiliyah... They are very well informed about things and lotsa books no doubt but still jahil in terms of religion.

In regards to their path to the deen, it is a very hard effort based on one of our brothers who have a Japanese wife (Muslim tho). Based on his experience is that religion is superficial in Japan. They know but they have yet to understand, reflect and ponder about it. Alhamdulillah there are some sisters who really got into the deen, but the rest still remain the typical Japanese type. However the truth is from Allah and all the errors are from Me... May Allah guide us , and them
