A great Sunday
I was down on Friday and Saturday due to low blood pressure and little intake of food (my stupidity). I could barely stand straight and had a hard time praying and walking properly. Instead I was in bed throughout the whole Saturday and forced myself to college on Friday because of lab experiment. Luckily I was prepared for the pre-experiment "check up" or else I'd get booted off the lab. Today I fully recovered from my low blood pressure and sickness and off for a haircut, picking up my watch and a photography session at Namba Parks, Osaka.
Just to let you know about Namba parks, it is a shopping centre with a theme of a park on the roof and some "middle eastern nature" themed architecture. What I meant was that the building is like the route towards the ancient city of Petra, Jordan where the path is curvy and deep. On the rooftop of the building lies a park, good for strolling, dating, and relaxing. However, I don't have a wife so more likely I won't go to this place for no apparent reason. Inside the building lies boutiques, restaurants, cinema and various little shops where it is relatively a haven for dining, shopping and wasting time. However, the food isn't HALAL so I can't really enjoy them. Never mind, I'll have my own parks in Jannah hehehehe....

So started off from the bus stand near my house... Bus 110 to Temmabashi
Unfortunately the bus heading to Uehonmachi left when I reached the transit bus stand and the next bus is in 30 minutes time !! DANG !!! Ah well, instead of waiting, why not walk to Osaka Castle park and take some pictures and take the bus from there?
This is the jogging and walking path along the outer walls of the castle
Blue sky.... Excellent weather !!!
A road train outside Osaka Castle... Better make full use of my 74,000 yen Lens !!!
The entrance to the castle
The other part of the exterior walls
This is the NHK Osaka building(left) and the Osaka Prefecture Police Headquarters(right) (remember Black Rain starring Michael Douglas and Ken Takakura?)
Beautiful architecture of the NHK Osaka Building
Welcome to Uehonmachi-6-chome. Basically my "hometown" in Osaka. The highest peak in Osaka city. The rest are all plains. Another note is that this is also quite a high class area in downtown Osaka. How I wish I could have an apartment here.
Inside the Kintetsu train, heading towards Imazato, my previous apartment.
Then I got down from the train and welcome to Shin Imazato...Aaaah natsukashii~
Got my haircut here, at Takeshita's . The owner is very friendly and it's worth the cost going all the way down south just for a friendly chat and a haircut. Sorry if I took your precious time but I won't go anywhere else for a haircut. Even if I move to Kobe, I'll definitely visit you for a haircut !
I went to another salon nearby when I was in my 1st year but the haircut was terrible and that was my first and last. So after wasted some time talking about all kinds of stuff, I headed for Namba to collect my watch.
Welcome to Namba... One of the most happening spot in Osaka. Famous for everything and for all ages. Whatever you want to do, everything is in Namba =D But I don't suggest going to places that are *ahem* not Halal... hehehehehe
I got hungry and visited a Thai restaurant called Krungtep *something*, which is another name of Bangkok in Thai language (If I'm not mistaken). It is located beneath Takashimaya, and it is a pretty casual restaurant. So ordered 2 Thai prawn burger and filled up my empty tank. The ambiance is great for simple dining.
Then I left for Namba parks which is just a few hundred metres away.
Just love the architecture...
Sometimes I don't feel like I'm in Japan ! LOL
Taken from the floor. It gives a pretty good effect and I highly recommend it ! However ONE BIG CAUTION !!! DO NOT TAKE PICTURE OF WOMEN'S SKIRT FROM THIS ANGLE !!! I DON'T HOLD ANY LIABILITIES FOR SUCH ACTION !!!
So on my way up, I went to the shop I got my watch repaired. Yup, it is Victorinox Swiss Army. You can read about it here . My dad got me the Victorinox Swiss Army Seaplane and I'd like it for its chunky yet simple design. However the plastic dial got broken so it needed repair. Other than that, it's worth every yen buying a good Swiss Made watch. I didn't know it is more than just watches and Swiss army knife. They sell quality stuff out there, I highly recommend it.
After I got my watch repaired, I strolled around the complex and walked through a restaurant area. Pretty good for some architecture shots, so I decided to take a few shots before going up to the gardens.
Welcome to the roof of Namba Parks

I got tired and left the park with a number of good (and rubbish) shots. Had my supper at Eikokuya tea shop. Waffle with butter and syrup and a cup of Royal Milk Tea. Then I headed for Sakaisuji line Nippombashi station and took a shot of the train before boarding it.
I reached Tenjinbashisuji-6-chome and changed train. After I alighted the train, I took another photo of it... Crap shot but worth the try
That's all for today... Tired but at least that keeps my mind off from some distractions.
