Kyoto revisited - part 2 : Sannenzaka to Maruyama park

After walking down from the famous Kiyomizu temple, it is recommended to walk to Maruyama park via the old path @ Sannenzaka. The path is just a few minutes walk from the Kiyomizu temple market, and you can notice it through the traditional stone steps down the hill. Sannenzaka passes through rows of traditional Japanese structure and it leads to Koudai temple @ Koudaiji. And as you proceed further, following the traditional stone pathway, you'll eventually end up in Maruyama park.

Sannenzaka is a place where you can enjoy traditional Japanese atmosphere but it takes half a day to explore the whole place (inclusive of visiting the temples). Another thing is that it can be very crowded on weekends. A recommendation for photography travelling is to visit early in the morning, before the shops open.
