Hanabi @ Juso, Osaka
Hanabi @ Fireworks is somewhat a nationwide summer event in Japan. Usually back in Malaysia, we'd have fireworks display on special occassions such as Merdeka celebration (independence day celebration), or New Year or some big festival. However, only once I managed to take photos of fireworks display on Merdeka day '03. But of course I didn't have my 2nd wife to rely on...so I had to take my 1st one and the result wasn't up to standard... Maybe I was fooling with my 1st wife too much.
In Japan, there is no fireworks display in New Year's celebration (correct me if I'm wrong), so don't get too hype of celebrating New Year here at an empty padang (field). Instead, try to spend your 1st two weeks in August or better, 1 month here in Japan ,travelling here and there JUST to watch fireworks display (or competition)... One of my recommendation is the Fireworks display at Juso (just 2 stations away from Osaka main train station).
If I'm not mistaken it is held on the 1st / 2nd Saturday of the month, and it starts at 7.00pm. But be sure to be there early or else you wouldn't have a place to sit !!! I'd say, this is the 1st time I see Japanese taking their time off, enjoying. It's a major BREAK !!! When they are at work, they mean they are at work... but when they enjoy...hahaha, they'd push their enjoyments to the limits....
Speaking of this particular fireworks display, what amuses me is that it is not just an ordinary fireworks display... You'd get various kind of stuff like Mickey Mouse, Doraemon, Hello Kity, shaped fireworks (sadly no pictures taken on that)....It was soo creative that I think Malaysian pyrotechnic experts need to learn more right here....
Anyway, I'd end it here as the main reason blogging is to share some lame pictures I took =D
Sit back and enjoy.... (of course it's best u enjoy the fireworks at the spot itself)....
